I have N97, and I used iphone 3gs, although iphone has more apps to get from the store, but technically, the Nokia N97 beats the iPhone in nearly every area… iPhone lacks many basic features that is certainly available in N97… N97 is the daddy !

Usual Excellent Nokia JUST as phone.
Nowhere near iPhone in application and user friendliness. Symbian has miles to catch up.
Phone freezes or shuts off frequently. Orientation is slow responsive. Dinosaur menu navigation – single tap some and double tap some.
It has less than impressed a 10 year Nokia loyal in me.
I have sold the phone for loss and bought an iPhone

actually iphone 3gs try to get near to N97 spec. but for me they are still far behind

I currently own a N95 (NAM version) and unfortunately the N97 will have the same problem as the N95 and all Nokia 3G phones which I’ve seen: you cannot get both US and European 3G frequencies in the same phone! This is a MUST HAVE for anyone who travels between Europe and North America extensively. I’m surprised this topic doesn’t come up more often in reviews.

I love my Nokia N95 when at home, but I hate having to fall back to EDGE when traveling abroad.

The iPhone 3Gs is way better than the Nokia N 97.
It has loads of applications compared to nokia and the only draw back about the iphone is that it has a 3.2 megapixel camera and there is no front camera

One of iPhone 3G S downside is that any programs you want for your iPhone 3G S still have to go through Apple’s bizarre approval process, and the cost. The only way to get the iPhone 3G S 32GB free on contract is by signing up for O2’s £73.41 a month contract for 2 whole years. If you want it on the cheapest 18 month and £29.38 contract, it’ll cost you £274.23 up front. And don’t get us started on the exorbitant tethering charges.
