Nokia N97 vs HTC Touch Pro2
Nokia N97 and HTC Touch Pro2 are the two smartphones that reached the mobile market with lot of similarities between them. These two phones have similar slide and tilt appearance along with the full QWERTY keyboards in them. Nokia N97 has the display with the screen resolution of about 360*640 with the screen of 3.5 inches in diagonal whereas HTC Touch Pro2 has the screen of 3.6 inches diagonally with the resolution of about 480*800. The screen size of the HTC Touch Pro2 is slightly greater than the Nokia N97 and so you can expect HTC Touch phone to have a better resolution and graphics display.
Nokia N97 has the operating system called Symbian S60 whereas HTC Touch phone runs on the Windows Mobile 6.1 professional operating system. Now lets compare the internal and external memory available in these two phones. Nokia N97 has 32 GB storage, 128 MB RAM (with option of external memory microSD (Max up to 16GB)) whereas the HTC Touch pro2 provides only 512MB ROM / 288MB RAM (with option of external memory microSD (Max up to 32GB)). Nokia measures about 117.2mm length, 55.3mm width and 15.9mm thickness and HTC Touch phone is almost 117mm in length, 59.2mm in width and has thickness about 17.25mm. Nokia N97 weighs about 150 grams and HTC Touch phone weighs about 175 grams. This makes Nokia N97 comfortable for the users when it is in their hands.
Both Nokia N97 and HTC Touch phone has the same facility on the networking front. These two phones offers wide range of facilities like Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, quad band GSM, GPRS, EDGE, 3G technology with HSDPA, WCDMA. HTC Touch Pro2 smartphones has the facility to connect with the external devices like computer and modem through the HTC ExtUSB. This USB acts as an 11-pin mini-USB 2.0 port, an audio jack and also a TV output. Nokia N97 also has a TV output, a 32mm audio jack and a microUSB jack. Both the model has FM radio but Nokia N97 was provided with inbuilt stereo speakers.
Nokia N97 was built up with a camera of quality 5Megapixel camera at the same time the HTC Touch Pro2 smartphones has the camera of the capacity 3.2 MP along with another VGA camera at the front side of the mobile. Nokia also has the double LED torch integrated into it. Nokia is the famous mobile company and also it exercise lot of pressures over the designers to make the user interface to be very interactive. This same feature was implemented in this Nokia N97 also by providing many options for the users to set up the menu in the mobile. When this features compared with the HTC Touch Pro2 smartphones Nokia N97 will be better.
Nokia N97 is the second model in the Nokia gallery with the touch screen interface also this mobile was designed to work in Symbian S60 operating system. Basically the mobiles working with this operating system will be slow in opening the application. But this is not the case in this Nokia N97. This mobile is working in lightening speed to open the selected application. HTC Touch Pro2 smartphones works in the Windows operating system so this mobile was normally fast in opening the applications.
Mostly these two mobiles are having almost same features and the quality but the price tag with these mobiles are different because the materials of these mobiles are different. When the customer is looking to bid a lower price mobile in these two mobiles then they can go for the HTC Touch Pro2 mobile. This is because of its wide availability and their subsidization. HTC mobiles provide three years of service agreement for this mobile user. Nokia is little bit costlier than the HTC Touch phone and the important thing is that Nokia is trying to gain the benefits of American market so they are offering discounts which make them affordable for the customers.
